For me adding metadata after import feels way more tedious then at import. Meaning you would still need to use other software to ingest photos into folders and rename them. What I do not like is the automatic import into the database. There is a free tutorial on working with Panels and Workspaces which demonstrates some of this. IMatch supports workspaces, which means users can use different 'setups' for different phases in their workflow or for different computer configurations (small notebook screen on-location, 2 or 3 monitor setup at home). The IMatch user interface is very customizable and you can show/hide all 'panels' and other screen elements as you see fit. But you can access IMatch databases from any device and platform using a web browser with the IMatch Anywhere™ add-on. Thank you for giving my software a try and letting us know what you think. On the 14”screen the interface looked powerful but too busy and complex to my taste and had no chance to link the laptop to my 27”2K monitor. I have not invested time into this friendship as I said it’s Win only and I do not want to tie myself to a single OS. I thought the laptop was dead but after about 5+ hours later it was organized into categories picked up from the image metadata that was imbedded by other trial software. I’ve downloaded the trial version on my old, dusty abandoned PC and thrown 30k photos on it. It is surprisingly on my list because I have seen so many people raving about its DAM functionality.
